As part of the “Mikolow for Climate” project, an educational campaign for urban adaptation to climate change is being implemented. The recipients are mainly residents of Mikolow, and one of the branches is aimed directly at students of Mikolow elementary schools. Children assimilate knowledge very easily, especially that transmitted in the form of play, so this is the form in which the classes are conducted.

Pupils of grades I-III will meet Leo – a boy from the future, who tells about the world in 30-50 years. Clean water in taps, full store shelves are something we take for granted. Is it also for Leo? The boy shares what he has seen and experienced. There is still time to change things, so let’s take matters into our own hands and start taking action!

Older children take part in a workshop based on the “Climate Mosaic” puzzle. The game is based on the collective creativity of the participants, and prompts a conversation about human influence on the direction of climate change, its feedbacks on people, and the connections between various phenomena and processes on Earth.
