Regarding the closing conference of the project “Mikolow for Climate – implementation of blue-green infrastructure investments in the city”

Ladies and Gentlemen,

We are pleased to announce that the closing conference of the project “Mikolow for the Climate – implementation of blue-green infrastructure investments in the city”, which is jointly implemented by the Municipality of Mikolow, the Silesian Botanical Garden and the Liechtenstein Institute for Strategic Development, is approaching..

Comprehensive, i.e. including a component of adaptation, mitigation and educational activities, the project is based on the implementation of projects aimed at the creation and restoration of greenery along with the retention and on-site management of rainwater. It aims to increase Mikolov’s adaptive capacity and mitigate climate change by implementing blue-green infrastructure solutions and conducting an education and information campaign. The intention of the project is also to expand the awareness and social activism of residents in the field of climate and environmental protection and taking adaptation measures in private spaces.

The conference, which will be held on April 10-12, 2024, will be an opportunity to summarize the achievements of the project, share conclusions and experiences gained during its implementation, and expand knowledge about the need for adaptation measures and their impact on the functioning of cities.

We cordially encourage you to actively participate and join us during these inspiring days, during which we will jointly analyze and promote blue-green infrastructure solutions and create perspectives for sustainable urban development.

Kind regards,

Dr. Pawel Kojs
