🌳🌿 Revitalizing Planty Park – for beauty and biodiversity! 🌿🌳

This beautiful park, which is part of our ecological corridors and aeration wedges in the city, deserves to be renewed. Our investments here are aimed at mitigating the effects of climate change, such as heavy rains and heat, and fostering biodiversity. What will happen in the park?

🏞️ Restoring the retention capacity of Little Pond 🏞️

We will carry out de-silting and remove concrete bank slabs. Then we will make a reinforcement using stone surcharge technology, which will help increase the water retention capacity. In addition, we will increase the diversity of shoreline species, which will create a more ecological and attractive environment for flora and fauna.

🌊 Enrichment of the Large Pond with an aeration system and fountain 🌊.

The Large Pond also awaits enrichment of the species composition of shoreline plants. Also planned is an aeration system that will ensure proper oxygenation of the water and improve living conditions for aquatic organisms. In addition, the fountain is a beautiful element that will add charm and offer a moment of relaxation on hot days playing an important role in mitigating the effects of climate change.

🚶‍♀️ Unsealing of alley pavement 🚶‍♂️

Our activities also include unsealing the surface of alleys. We aim to create more permeable surfaces that will allow the ground to better absorb rainwater. This will help mitigate the effects of heavy rains and affect the overall water retention in the park.

🌱 Enriching the park vegetation system with native species 🌱.

Another important aspect of our project is to enrich the multi-story park vegetation system with native species. We will take care to preserve the system of alleys, which are an integral part of the park listed in the register of historical monuments. We also aim to increase the diversity of vegetation to create a friendly environment for local flora and fauna.

Planty Park is of great importance to us, which is why we have received positive approval from the inspector of the WUOZ in Katowice. We are excited to start work and strive to restore the beauty and biodiversity of this unique place!
